Ms. Joan M. Stanley

Technical Writer/Editor and Technical Coordinator, High Confidence Software and Systems (HCSS)

Ms Stanley provides support as a technical writer and editor. She assists in the writing and editing of correspondence, brochures, Federal plans, workshop reports, and the annual supplement to the President’s Budget. In addition, Ms. Stanley provides subject matter expertise, technical leadership and management, and guidance to the NITRD Program in the area of high confidence software and systems. She supports the groups’ monthly meetings and workshops, to include identifying opportunities for coordination and collaboration within the NITRD Program.

Prior to joining the NCO/NITRD, Ms. Stanley provided technical writing support for the USAID, the Department of Defense, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Army National Guard. She has also managed an international science program at the Boston Science Museum, where she successfully developed an NSF grant proposal to expand the program.

Ms. Stanley received a B.A. in Zoology from Hunter College of the New York City University.
