Continued R&D on Grand Challenge projects at the HPCRCs. These projects are co-funded by other DOE programs and by industrial partners. Participants include DOE laboratory, university, industry and other HPCC agency researchers. They are:

- Mathematical Combustion Modeling;
- Quantum Chromodynamics;
- Oil Reservoir Modeling;
- Numerical Tokamak Project;
